Meryta sinclairii
A handsome New Zealand native that will enhance a sheltered spot in many gardens. It has large, 30-40cm leaves, glossy and bold. When young the bush has a single stem, branching with age to form a bushy broad-topped specimen.
Feature:

Bold and handsome structural plant.

Uses: Back of border & around patios. Leaves turn yellow as they fall and are excellent for floral work.
Position: Sun or shade, humus-rich soil with reasonable drainage. Needs protection from frost in cooler parts of Zone 9.
Care: Little needed, just sit back and watch it grow.
