Rhaphiolepis Ballerina
Rhaphiolepis indica 'Ballerina'
Clean, large, deep pink flowers set this variety apart from the rest. Its foliage is tidy, in glossy green with bronze tones and it grows to around a metre in both directions. From late in winter clusters of large deep pink flowers begin to form and flush right into spring and through summer.
Feature:

Lovely, year-round interest, rich pink flowers from spring and into summer.

Uses: Garden borders, patio pots, rockeries and shrub beds.
Position: Needs full sun, a deeply worked and free-draining soil. Hardy to drought, coastal conditions and light frost.
Care: Pinching out growth tips after flowering encourages bushy sideways growth. If wet conditions are common, watch for leaf-spotting and use a fungus spray.
