Grevillea Gold Rush
Grevillea alpina 'Gold Rush'
A compact free-flowering shrub widely respected for its bright golden yellow spider flowers from winter and into spring. A garden highlight in winter that's good for a splash of colour when there's not much about. An excellent choice for new gardens - grevilleas are colourful, grow quickly and provide shelter for smaller plants.
Feature:

An evergreen; colourful for a long period.

Uses: Shrub borders, rockeries and containers.
Position: Open and sunny with good drainage. Does not like wet feet, so incorporate peat or sand into all but the lightest of soils.
Care: Prune to tidy after flowering to encourage vigour and flower next season. Apply a little low-phosphorus fertiliser in autumn, though don't overdo it; grevilleas prefer poorer soils.
