Aeonium Schwarzkorf
Aeonium arboreum 'Schwarzkorf'
Here’s a plant with rich, dark chocolate and plum coloured foliage. It’s a reliable beauty, looking dark and sensual all year round, performing magnificently month after month. As a succulent it will tolerate very dry conditions, but in summer it will look more beautiful if watered during dry periods. As a container plant, Aeonium Schwartzkopf is ideal, easy to grow, as well as stunningly good-looking.
Often sought after, but sometimes difficult to obtain, this is a magnificent specimen plant. One is reputed to be the most photographed plant in Auckland's Regional Botanical Gardens! A tree-like species from South Africa, it can grow to 15 metres in ideal conditions with a 2 metre trunk - in cooler NZ though, such vigorous growth is highly unlikely. Rich green, sword-shaped leaves, with rose-tipped green flowers in winter.
A unique and striking multi-branched shrub or small tree from South Africa's southwestern Cape where it's known as the fan aloe - a reference to the unique layout of its strap-like leaves. As the bush matures, racemes of tubular scarlet flowers are a spectacular sight in late-winter and spring.
Native to Western Australia, Kangaroo paws make excellent garden and patio subjects and wonderful cutflowers for a bold indoor statement. Bush Eclipse flowers later in summer and spot flowers almost year round, certainly to its own timetable. It has a high natural disease tolerance and needs little water - summer droughts eat dust!
An outstanding foliage plant with lime-green-yellow leaves, generously patched in deep-forest-green. In summer, yellow colouration dominates, while deep-green patches are most prominent in cooler or shaded conditions. Almost an afterthought, pale blue flowers appear in spring to supplement the stunning foliage display.
Attractive year round with a neat conical shape and dense, short, leathery foliage in shades of steel-grey-blue, more pronounced in winter. Superior selection that leaves a bold impression anywhere a hint of cool formality is required. Particularly easy to care for; conifers virtiually look after themselves.
A compact form with soft feathery rich green, and a striking silver/white foliage during Summer & Winter. Ideal for mixed borders or as a speciman plant. Plant in semi-shade, any soil and will tolerate coastal conditions. Evergreen. Grows 1.2 x 60cm.
An evergreen patio and deck delight that displays its most colourful peach hues when autumn draws to a close and winter's on the horizon. Autumn Haze grows to form a dense ground cover, ideal for front of border, decks and low-maintenance gardens. Tidy year round, its tiny green leaves take on autumn hues as summer cools. Grows 20 x 150cm.
Cushion mound of slender, irregulary curving, springy, intertwining branchlets coloured deep green. Needle-like leaves. Vigorous grower and an eExcellent groundcover or rockery plant. Tolerates poor, dry, sandy conditions. Evergreen. Grows 45cm high x 1.5m wide.

The narrow conical shape and rapid growth rate make Limelight the ultimate privacy plant, perfect for screening and hedging. It will grow in most soils and climatic conditions throughout N.Z. Tolerates frosts, heat and humidity. For screening plant 4m apart. Grows 7m x 1.8m.
