A superb coastal garden plant, native to the South Island's Marlborough coastline, and able to withstand the poorest and roughest of conditions. In summer it has beautiful daisy-like flowers with yellow centres. And all year round it has glossy deep-green leaves with grey felt-like undersides.

Something a little different in the popular sweet-pea-bush, a compact grower with glaucous leaves and rich pink/purple flowers. This evergreen shrub tolerates poor soils and dry conditions. A light clip early in spring will encourage new growth and a spring flush of flowers that will last until summer, and repeatedly spot flower almost all year round. Lovely contrast with white-flowered underplantings.
