Salvia leucantha 'Santa Barbara'
Santa Barbara’s striking character sets it apart - it's compact, strongly branched and a mound of hazy-lavender-purple from mid-summer. Other cultivars of this species can be scruffy - not Santa Barbara; it’s tight and tidy. Drought tolerant, it’s a great easy-care feature in any garden or landscape.
Feature:

Lavender-purple mound from mid-summer. Easy care, patio and border.

Uses: Summer flowering gardens, patio pots, mixed planters, rockeries and borders.
Position: Plant in full sun in an open well-drained soil.
Care: Grows best in well-drained soils in full sun. Prune hard back in late winter to encourage fresh new growth in spring. Will need protection from all but light frost in colder areas of Zone 9.
