Chionochloa flavicans
One of the most beautiful New Zealand grasses, both graceful and tough. In summer its toetoe blooms look great as they sway in the breeze and add air and grace to the garden. In the winter, it’ll withstand the coldest of conditions, though shelter from harsh winds enhances its beauty.
Feature:

Graceful and arching panicles of flower.

Uses: Rockeries, borders, low maintenance gardens, large tubs, floral work.
Position: Open aspect, full sun and freely-draining soil. Tolerant of harsh frost.
Care: Little needed; if the bush becomes shabby, cut back to one-third size.
