Clivia miniata
Clivia miniata
The jewel of many a garden. From late winter to early summer, brilliant-orange-flame-red flowers adorn this wonderful plant. It's evergreen in warmer areas with rich green strap-like leaves that look tidy all year round. Ideally planted in dry shady areas, free of frost.
Feature:

Brilliant spring display enhanced as the clump matures.

Uses: Gardens, specimens and containers. Works well in a container, grown under shade and brought out to show off as it flowers.
Position: Shady, warm and dry. Good conservatory plant. It also needs shelter from frost in the colder areas of Zone 9.
Care: Benefits from a liquid feeding once flower buds appear. Remove spent blooms to prolong display.
