A striking upright grower, well suited for either garden or patio pot presentation. In summer rich creamy flower clusters contrast boldly against rich reddish-purple sword-shaped arching leaves. An exotic-looking "evergreen" plant that is a favourite among modern structural plantings.
Feature:
Bold and richly-coloured structural plant.
Uses:
Excellent patio, container and garden specimen.
Position:
Sun or shade, needs reasonable drainage. Shelter from all but the lightest frost in cooler parts of Zone 9.
Care:
Little needed. Feed and tidy foliage from time to time. Watch for slug damage and talk to your local garden centre if evident.
