Griselinia Whenuapai
Griselinia littoralis 'Whenuapai'
New Zealand native and an architectural delight - small glossy and rich-green leaves, a tidy narrow columnar habit and dense growth - ideal for screens, wind-break, hedging and topiary work. In the garden it'll grow quickly to form an upright bush, thriving in sun or shade. In nature, it's found throughout New Zealand.

Native Kapuka, bold foliage shrub with large glossy green leaves.

Uses: Borders, screens, wind-break, patios and tubs, specimen tree.
Position: Easy to satisfy - sun or shade, coastal and frosty conditions. Dislikes wet feet though, so plant in a well-drained soil.
Care: Little needed, just an occasional trim to tidy and a light feed with a general fertiliser early autumn. Readily maintained at a lesser height if required.
