Tiny foliage and dainty, pale blue flowers sets ‘Mason’s Finest’ apart from other ground covering and low growing varieties of rosemary. It’s great for small gardens and tight spots where the more vigourous rosemaries could grow too robustly and is a stunner for low, raised beds and the edges of paths as well as all sorts of sunny spots in well drained soils. As with other rosemaries, ‘Mason’s Finest’ is drought tolerant and able to grow in poor soils. Try it in containers too, where in addition to looking good there’s that great aroma every time you make contact with the foliage.

In the garden, you can use ‘Mason’s Finest’ as a very pleasing contrast to the new, small growing Arctotis varieties or as a foreground to small, white flowered shrubs such as Eriostemon varieties ‘Cascade of Star’s’ and ‘Bournda Beauty’. White flowered Convolvulus cneorum and blue flowered Felicia varieties ‘Variegatum’ (with green and gold foliage and blue flowers) and ‘Golden Sapphire’ (blue daisy flowers with a golden centre) are also good companions, as is the gold and green, spiky yet soft leafed Yucca ‘Garland’s Gold’.
