The light green leaves with splashes of dark brown provide Tiarella ‘Crow Feather’ with a distinctive air. This pretty, low growing perennial is mostly grown for its foliage, although the airy, long stemmed flowers are quite appealing too. But the leaves provide year round interest and in lightly shaded areas are a never ending source of pleasure. ‘Crow Feather’ can be planted in a little group as a ground cover, or it can be mingled with other small growing plants which are happy in shade, such as Heucheras, small weeping grasses like the green and cream striped Carex ‘Evergold’, the black, grass-like foliage of Ophiopogon ‘Black Dragon’, Lamium ‘White Nancy’ and smaller growing hostas and ferns.
