The pretty pink flowers of this compact perennial make shady areas seem light and bright in spring. At other times of the year it provides handsome foliage, making it a great all rounder. A good soil, well enriched with compost or similar material, is ideal, as it is for other shade lovers such as Daphne ‘Alba’ and Daphne ‘Rosea’ and these small shrubs are great to grow just behind ‘Pink Skyrocket’. Or use it as a massed groundcover among the daphnes. It’s also good to grow with hellebores such as ‘Flash Gordon’ and ‘Thoroughbred Choice’, with old fashioned scented violets and with green and blue foliage hostas.
