A compact and low-growing member of the agave family whose leaves are sword-shaped with a slightly arching and kinked-downward habit. These have a boldly contrasting golden centre band and green edge. When the bush matures, you'll be impressed with the spectacular creamy white flower that appears on a tall spike during summer.
Feature:
Boldly contrasting garden and patio plant.
Uses:
Wonderful in a patio pot, garden or as a specimen.
Position:
Full sun and freely draining soil. Coming from desert regions it'll handle considerable heat and cold, but it does not appreciate wet feet.
Care:
Little needed, just a tidy up from time to time to remove spent flower stalks, and a little water when young.
