Yucca ‘Garland’s Gold’ has foliage which looks good all year round. It’s a tough plant, loving lots of sunshine and not minding if the soil’s poor and the summers are long, hot and dry. It is also just as happy in richer soils, providing the drainage is good. It’s also superb in a container - a group in a big bowl looks stunning and will keep on growing for years with little attention beyond watering in dry weather. In the garden, Yucca ‘Garland’s Gold’ is stunning dotted among bronze tussock grasses or rising out of low growing plants such as Gazania ‘Sunset Jane’, with its double, tawny daisy flowers, or the bright yellow foliage of Sedum ‘Acapulco Gold’. Try it too with dark brown and deep reddish black succulents, and as a foreground planting to a group of Coprosma ‘Karo Red’.
