This previously little known plant made a bold entrance into the new millennium. And rightly so! A native of north Burma, it’s a bold shrub with large hydrangea-like leaves, glossy and dark green. From late-spring large heads of pale blue flower buds progressively open to rich-denim-blue starry flowers. Truly impressive.
An evergreen perennial that flowers its heart out from spring to summer. It grows rapidly to form a multi-branched bush with grey-green leaves. Large, 30cm, intense blue flowers stand high above the foliage to make a brilliant garden display. Flowers intrigue up close, and the bush is fantastic viewed from afar.
A free-flowering evergreen shrub with a compact and tidy habit built in. Early in spring tiny buds form, colouring to red prior to opening to a myriad of white star-shaped flowers. An excellent border choice that lends itself to floral use - flowers last well in a vase and crushed foliage has a distinctive fresh fragrance.
