A Federation Daisy with fantastic lemon-yellow flowers, creating new opportunities for colour coordination. In flower from early spring and into summer. Meryta sinclairii
A handsome New Zealand native that will enhance a sheltered spot in many gardens. It has large, 30-40cm leaves, glossy and bold. When young the bush has a single stem, branching with age to form a bushy broad-topped specimen. Hardiness Zone - suits dark green area - click for details
Metrosideros kermadecensis Variegata
Metrosideros kermadecensis 'Variegata'
An outstanding variegated Pohutukawa with bright crimson flowers over summer. The species hails from the Kermadec Islands. It's a great specimen tree for smaller sections, while in larger gardens it lends itself to mass planting. Metrosideros Tahiti
Metrosideros 'Tahiti'
An excellent garden, tub and patio plant with lots of flower and foliage colour. Brilliant red flowers burst from conspicuous red buds from late autumn through to spring. Metrosideros excelsa 'Vibrance'
A smaller and showy form of our native Pohutukawa, valuable as a specimen tree for smaller city sections, while in larger and country gardens it lends itself to mass planting - it'd look great as a driveway avenue feature. Arguably our most spectacular native herbaceous plant. Dormant in winter in colder districts, spring sees rapid growth of showy, shiny, veined, bright green leaves that are soon followed by intense blue flowers in large pyramidal heads up to 15cm wide. Myrtus Black Beauty
Myrtus x ralphii 'Black Beauty'
A standout foliage shrub with intensely coloured leaves in hues of dark-red, bronze and black - an effect that makes Black Beauty one of the most effective texture, background and indoor-foliage-display shrubs that we've seen. Rakino's our preferred garden choice providing both ornamental and fruiting benefits. It's a shapely, small, open, tree suitable for both inland and coastal situations.
