Daphne Alba
Daphne odora 'Alba'
Daphne flowers possess a magical perfume, miles better than anything that comes in a bottle. Enjoy the scent to the full: plant near a path or doorway, or a window which is often left open. The flowers, produced for a long time in late winter and early spring, can be picked and brought indoors, but be sure to cut them with green stems - cutting back into old wood is not good for the bush.
Upright strong growing form with large flower heads. Blooms over a long period from late winter into spring. Sweetly scented and good for cut flowers. Plant in sun or light shade, very hardy. Acid lover, don't use lime. Evergreen 1m x 1m.

This previously little known plant made a bold entrance into the new millennium. And rightly so! A native of north Burma, it’s a bold shrub with large hydrangea-like leaves, glossy and dark green. From late-spring large heads of pale blue flower buds progressively open to rich-denim-blue starry flowers. Truly impressive.
Here's a choice plant for a summer garden and a touch of tropical beauty. Rich wine-red strape-like foliage provides a distinctive look through summer. This is topped off with a bright red pineapple-like flower - a bold statement however you use it.
Fast growing small tree with glossy rich green leaves year round and large white flowers with yellow centres in winter. Member of the camellia family, hardy to light frosts, needs good drainage and full sun. Great feature or shade plant. Grows to 3-4m high & 2m wide.
A fast growing sun lover with lush green needle-like foliage and spider-like bright creamy-green flowers from autumn right through to spring. Tolerant of a wide range of conditions, this is an excellent, evergreen garden shrub.
One of the most attractive of all grevillea, Gaudichaudi's grown as much for its stunning deep red and green foliage as it is for the showy brush-like flowers that bloom from spring through to autumn. This evergreen shrub is a real ground hugger that quickly forms a bright carpet of foliage and flower.
Attractive foliage and pretty flowers in shades of red, pink and cream almost all year, with mass flushes in winter and spring. Marvellous ground cover which will mound or cascade as allowed. A hardy and top-performing grevillea.
Smothered in red flowers for many months, often starting in autumn and carrying on until late spring. This versatile shrub has handsome, small, bronze-green foliage which combines excellently with its flowers and ensures that the slightly weeping habit of growth is an attractive feature in itself.
