Grevillea gaudichaudi
Grevillea gaudichaudi
One of the most attractive of all grevillea, Gaudichaudi's grown as much for its stunning deep red and green foliage as it is for the showy brush-like flowers that bloom from spring through to autumn. This evergreen shrub is a real ground hugger that quickly forms a bright carpet of foliage and flower.
Attractive foliage and pretty flowers in shades of red, pink and cream almost all year, with mass flushes in winter and spring. Marvellous ground cover which will mound or cascade as allowed. A hardy and top-performing grevillea.
Smothered in red flowers for many months, often starting in autumn and carrying on until late spring. This versatile shrub has handsome, small, bronze-green foliage which combines excellently with its flowers and ensures that the slightly weeping habit of growth is an attractive feature in itself.
Many gardeners regard this grevillea as the best. It's a popular evergreen bushy shrub with wide spreading branches that feature 10cm scarlet, fine toothbrush-like flowers from spring and through summer. It grows quickly, retains its tidy form and flowers in its first year.
New Zealand native and an architectural delight - small glossy and rich-green leaves, a tidy narrow columnar habit and dense growth - ideal for screens, wind-break, hedging and topiary work. In the garden it'll grow quickly to form an upright bush, thriving in sun or shade. In nature, it's found throughout New Zealand.
Eye-catching royal purple flowers with a bright magenta-red eye make Ohau hard to walk past when it's in full glory during late spring and into summer. Its foliage is attractive too - green leaves tipped purple on a compact plant. Great plant for new gardens; they grow rapidly and provide shelter for other plants.
This variety's particularly showy with a long flowering season. Large blue to lilac flowers are held on the top of branches from mid-summer and through to early spring. It grows to form a rounded bush to a metre tall with glossy, green oval-shaped leaves.
Hardy, evergreen and colourful all year round. This is a high contrast shrub with glossy leaves with green centres edged in cream and silver. From spring right through until autumn the bush features delicious light purple brush-shaped flowers. One of the very best hebes around for a spot of all-year colour.
A compact bush with wine-red buds opening to delightful papery white flowers from early spring. Flowers look great when dried for indoor display. Likes the sun & ideal for rockeries and crib walls. Try it also as an indoor plant. Grows 40 x 75cm.
The result of many years of selection, Flash Gordon comes with flowers across a range of burgundy to red, some of the darkest and most consistent we've seen. They're spectacular late in winter, more so as the clump matures. A herbaceous perennial that may die back over summer to flush again as it cools going into autumn.
