Osmanthus Pearly Gates
Osmanthus delavayi 'Pearly Gates'
An attractive and useful evergreen shrub. Small holly like leaves bear small delightly fragrant flowers in late Winter early Spring. Favouring slightly acid soils but adaptable to most well drained soils in sun or shade. Superb specimen or container plant. 1.5 X 1 metre.
A stunning rich, smokey, dark-grey dwarf flax, with leaf undersides in a distinct silvery blue. It holds its colour well and foliage weeps to form a stylish clump; at home in garden or pot - where it grows quickly to fill a spot or gap. Bold summer flowers attract native birds.
Jester’s a sensational flax introduction - it grows to around 75cm tall with arching rich-pink leaves margined with a stunning lime green band. Small enough for patio tubs and planters and great en masse for landscape use and in new gardens. Summer flowers attract native birds. Grows 75 x 90 centimetres.
A versatile and distinguished wine-red architectural plant with a distinctive black leaf margin and midrib. Silver-grey leaf under side further highlight this slection of our native flax. Plant in full sun or part shade. Tolerant of dry spells. Grows 1.8m X 80cm.
Beautiful NZ flax with warm tonings to highlight any garden - a kaleidoscope of colour - green younger leaves mature to salmon pink that fade yellow as they age. An upright and tidy grower that's at home in garden or pot - where it grows quickly to fill a spot or gap. En masse it's great for new gardens and erosion control.
Clump-forming perennial with striking mounds of burnished dark foliage. Light violet blue flowers with yellow stamens continuously formed from early spring until late autumn. A stunning focal point in borders or as a summer container on the patio or deck. Grows to 45x45cm.
Superb cream-yellow edged finely divided evergreen foliage topped by erect stems of violet blue flowers from mid summer. Prefers full to part shade & cool, well-drained soil, which does not dry out. Trim back hard after flowering to encourage colourful new foliage. Grows 45x45cm.
Showy multi-branched and bushy shrub with richly coloured variegated foliage; whorls of glossy leaves in splashes of forest green, lime and yellow. An impressive picture and indispensable in a modern landscape. Makes a good tub plant for a year or two when it's readily transplanted to the garden.
A supberb evergreen rockery or container plant with beautiful rosettes of dark green foliage and attractive pink flowers produced enmasse late Winter and early Spring. Grows well in most garden situations but needs a cool moist site in during Summer. 20 x 40cm.
A butterfly-attracting plant that flowers virtually all-year-round. Lovely mauve-blue flowers flush in spring and look great right through to the coldest of frosts. Plant in a sunny or partly-shaded area, keep a little on the moist side. Grows 30cm high and spreads to 50cm.
